Sizzlin’ Seniors

The California Sizzlin’ Seniors have had
an exciting start to 2020. We opened with a
Valentine’s Show for the Laguna Beach
American Legion, post 200, on February
19th. The whole group showed up in their
glorious red costumes (as you can see in
the group photo) and presented a show
that was enjoyed by all. This show
featured Love Songs and He/She Did You
Wrong Songs, which were performed in Sequinettes
song and dance. The program opened
with our featured group this month, the
Sequinettes (Judy, Helena and Ginni). In
the song, Mr. Sandman, they told him all
about the guy they wanted to spend
Valentine’s Day with. Jack and Ginni
closed the show with You’re Just in Love!

The group is working on an Irish show
for St. Patrick’s Day that will be performed
at Bixby Knolls Towers, 3737 Atlantic
Avenue, Long Beach., on March 21st. This
       performance will feature many lovely
Irish songs: Danny Boy, When Irish Eyes
Are Smiling, How Are Things in Glocca
Morra, and the guys telling us What Do
You Do With a Drunken Sailor. The show
will open with the whole cast singing
McNamara’s Band and will close with
Auld Lang Syne. We even have an Irish Jig
or two to keep things lively and some
       audience participation to I’m Looking
Over a Four Leaf Clover. The group is also
preparing for the San Deigo and Orange
                                                        Jack & Ginni
       County Fairs.
The Sizzlin’ Seniors is the Original
sanctioned performing group, began in Heart Felt Reminder
2001, and is composed of former pageant
queens, winners and contestants. The AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION
group also includes a few good men and reminds us of risk factors for heart disease
