The California Sizzlin’ Seniors have had a wonderful Holiday Season!

Their last Holiday Show was performed on December 17^th at Bixby Knolls Towers, 3737 Atlantic Avenue, Long Beach. It was full of enjoyable songs and dances.  The presentation opened with Frosty the Snowman, in person, dancing and singing with a couple of his friends, to a song being his name. The show also included a visit from Santa Claus, and three fun audience sing-along Christmas songs. Our featured stars this month are a mother/daughter team, Alma Gamez and Carol Chavez. They did a beautiful duet to Silver Bells

Looking ahead to 2020, the group is preparing for both Valentine’s Day and for their special production for this year, The Fabulous 50s, 60s and 70s. The Valentine’s Day Show will feature the return of the trio, the Fantastics, and the whole group doing your favorite love songs. And, of course, the songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s will include terrific numbers that will be immediately recognized and remembered.

The Sizzlin’ Seniors is the ORIGINAL sanctioned performing group, began in 2001, and is composed of former pageant queens, winners and contestants of the Ms. Senior California pageant. The group also includes a few good men and one young woman. They are available to entertain at retirement homes, senior centers, veteran’s groups and private parties. A Royal Merry Christmas to all fabulous seniors!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year to reflect on all the blessings that have come our way in 2019. We are so blessed to be part of this generation of seniors who can continue to make things happen everyday because we are healthier, smarter, and more engaged in our own happiness.

The Ms. Senior California of America committee will be looking for active senior women over the age of 60+, who are ready to experience a wonderful adventure called “The Age Of Elegance” senior pageant. Ms. Senior California is the largest senior pageant in the nation that brings honor and recognition to senior women. Are you ready? It is YOUR turn to have fun and meet other lovely senior women who are ready for the same adventure.

The Age of Elegance preliminary pageant locations for 2020 are: Long Beach, Palm Springs, Orange County and San Diego. The Ms. Senior California State Pageant is held at the Joan Kroc Theatre for Peace and Justice on the University of San Diego Campus.
