Recently, I caught the news that the ‘Ellen’ show was in its’ last season. As I don’t typically watch this, I was curious. In viewing a few episodes, it became abundantly clear Ellen is emotionally attached by much of what she does. She acknowledges the tremendous impact the show platform has had for her and for everyone it touches.

There have been over 4,000 guests on the show and distribution of nearly half a billion dollars in giveaways.

Ellen has lived through controversy, such as when she came out as gay in Time magazine on April 14, 1997 – she was shunned. Yet she is a trail blazer. Since 2018, she has been involved in creating the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund in Rwanda. It will be a 12 acre science and education campus. Ellen desires more creativity. The final episode will air on May 26, 2022.
