As the nation is beginning to realize that Covid 19 will become just another disease that we must be aware, there is a settling in phase happening. Those individuals refusing to vaccinate have interesting views. I am not referring to folks with medical conditions or allergies prohibiting vaccination. It is more about those refusing on ‘principle’. History tells us that there is enough evidence to support how vaccines have saved lives, such as polio, small pox, influenza, and now Covid 19.

Now what do we do about the booster shot? Folks are eligible to receive it starting 8 months after receiving a second dose of Pfizer or Moderna.

History: The Spanish flu of 1918-1920 was caused by the H1N1 influenza A virus. An estimated 500 million people infected and a minimum of 25+ million deaths worldwide. Records and reports were not as closely monitored as they are today. A lot of cover up was present. Small pox death estimates are between 300 – 500 million. Polio is an ancient disease and was first identified in 1909. Once infected, there is no cure for this

crippling and deforming disease, especially viral in children.

Covid 19 has taken over 675,000 lives in the United States alone and 50 million worldwide (more than the

Spanish flu. SARS of 2009 reported 60 million cases resulting in over 12,000 deaths in the United States and between 151,000 – 575,000 prople worldwide died. Records are sketchy from other countries.

We should consider the health and wellness of our population taking precedence over obstinance. Yet, it is a free country… and everyone has the privilege to decide for themselves. As for me and mine, we will advocate for mask wearing and vaccinations..
