Secrets to Lowering Blood Pressure

Q – WHAT IS HYPERTENSION?

A – When your blood pressure rises above 160/95.

Q – WHAT IS CONSIDERED AN IDEAL BLOOD PRESSURE?

A – Ideally 120/80… but you are still safe as high as 155/95 but time to get serious about lowering it to safer levels.

Q – HOW CAN I CHECK MY BLOOD PRESSURE?

A – At most pharmacies  or  of course with your physician.   Also purchase digital blood pressure cuffs that are easy to use.

Q – WHAT IS THE DANGER OF AN ELEVATED PRESSURE?

A – At least 70 million Americans have HBP which causes the heart to pump ever  harder trying  to carry blood throughout the body.  This often leads to heart failure or a stroke. It also raises your risk for kidney disease, and dementia.

Q – WHAT CAUSES HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE?

A – Factors identified as contributing to HBP are insulin/leptin resistance, elevated uric acid, toxic metal exposure (especially lead), lack of exercise, obesity, stress, smoking, excessive sugar/processed foods, and/or heredity.

Q – HOW DOES ELEVATED  BLOOD  PRESSURE CAUSE MEMORY LOSS?

A – Studies show that untreated hypertension can damage parts of the brain causing dementia.   Research shows it can even cause subtle problems with short-term memory. (study presented to the American  Heart Association 57th convention in Washington, D.C. by Dr. Richard Jennings of the University of Pittsburgh).

Q – WHAT CAN  I DO TO LOWER  MY BLOOD PRESSURE, OTHER THEN TAKING MEDICATIONS?

A – 95% of you can reduce your blood pressure  by doing just 4 things: Learn the art of relaxation, do aerobic exercise 3 days per week, reduce your weight, and eating organic natural foods and supplements known to lower blood pressure (i.e. beetroot, magnesium, potassium, Hawthorne extract, grape seed extract, maitake, basil, olive leaf).

Q – I NEED TO LEARN HOW TO RELAX…what do you suggest?

A – Meditation, deep muscle massages, Tai Chi, biofeedback, Yoga, being proactive, working at a job you love, having fun, separating from negative people, places, thoughts, talk, situations. All of these ideas will help reduce your blood pressure.

Q – ARE THERE FOODS WHICH HELP LOWER BLOOD PRESSURE?

A – Yes!  Foods rich in magnesium lower BP: avocados, nuts (not peanuts), seeds, seaweed, brown rice, blueberries, organic eggs, legumes, split pea soup, pineapples, yams, and green leafy vegetables.

Also foods rich in potassium: Swiss chard, avocado, spinach, crimini mushrooms, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, celery, leafy greens, tomato, sweet potatoes, wild salmon, melons, bananas, oranges, and apricots.

Q – WHY ARE YOU SUGGESTING NATURAL FOODS AND SUPPLEMENTS INSTEAD OF MEDICATIONS?

A – Work with your physician to stop blood pressure medications. According to the Complete Guide to Prescription Drugs  by Dr. H. Winter Griffith, M.D. they stress your brain, nervous system, pancreas, lungs, bone marrow, liver, heart, kidneys, and blood vessels. They also stress your autoimmune system which causes muscle stress = fibromyalgia; pancreatic stress = diabetes; and joint stress = arthritis.  Monitor you blood pressure closely as you take all the natural supplements. Then you can gradually cut back on your very dangerous drugs once your natural therapy reduces your blood pressure to 145/95 or lower always under the guidance of your doctor.

Q – WHAT ESSENTIALS OILS LOWER BLOOD PRESSURE?

A – lavender, ylang-ylang, marjoram, bergamot, and clary dage.

Q – WHAT SUPPLEMENTS ARE BEST FOR LOWERING BLOOD PRESSURE? (available at health food stores)

A – Beetroot juice is the most powerful due to its nitrate (NO3) which helps relax and dilate your blood vessels and prevents blood clots.

Q- WHAT OTHER FOODS CONTAIN NO3?

A – radishes, kale, celery, mustard greens, turnip tops, spinach, cabbage, eggplant, leeks, scallions, string beans and carrots.

Q – WHAT ELSE HELPS LOWER BLOOD PRESSURE?

A – Vitamin D deficiency is associated with developing high blood pressure. Research shows that sun exposure increases the level of NO, dilating blood vessels thereby reducing your blood pressure.

Q – WHAT ABOUT SALT?

A – Eliminate all processed salts and season with Organic Himalayan.
